WE CURRENTLY HAVE 2 eBIKES FOR HIRE (see picture).
HIRING AN ELECTRIC BIKE IS AN IDEAL WAY TO DISCOVER THE BENEFITS OF POWER ASSISTED CYCLING AND REALISE WHAT AN ELECTRIC BIKE COULD DO FOR YOU.
IT WILL LET YOU EXPERIENCE THE 'CONCEPT' OF OWNING A QUALITY eBIKE.
BECAUSE IT IS SO EASY TO GET AROUND ON AN ELECTRIC BIKE
CYCLING BECOMES A PLEASURE!
YOU WILL BE ABLE TO EXPLORE MORE AND TRAVEL MUCH FURTHER.
The Knaresborough, Harrogate & Ripon areas are a delight to cycle around and on an electric bike you’ll be able to go wherever you please. The area has a number of designated cycle routes and has numerous fascinating places to visit. Historic castles, pretty market towns and villages and beautiful countryside to explore.Our hire bikes (see picture) are comfortable and reliable and should give a 'realistic' range of at least 40 miles (usually much more!). They have 'market-leading' torque sensored, crank drive motors. This means that they respond by 'multiplying' your effort proportionally to different levels depending how hard you pedal, giving a much more natural riding experience (compared to inferior, cheaper, hub motored eBikes). We will be pleased to help you plan your adventure and can advise on the best routes and the likely distance you will be able to travel comfortably in a day on an electric bike.
A favourite route is the Beryl Burton Cycleway which leads from the river in Knaresborough to the recently opened Nidderdale Greenway from Bilton to Ripley (near Harrogate) and runs along a very picturesque disused railway line. Another newer extension takes you down the side of Ripley Castle towards Hampsthwaite ... and more routes are planned. There are numerous refreshment points en-route!
There is also a nice, restricted / low traffic route along the riverside in Knaresborough.
Electric Hire Bikes are collected & dropped-off at our premises by prior arrangement only (local ‘drop-off’ & collection can be arranged at an additional cost. Please contact us for further information).

(PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MINIMUM CHARGE FOR ANY 'HIRE PACKAGE' IS £40. We will also be happy to discuss a hire package to suit your specific requirements. e.g. different hire periods, etc. PLEASE GIVE US 48 HOURS NOTICE TO MAKE SURE OUR HIRE eBIKES ARE CHARGED, CHECKED & READY. )
*** IF YOU DECIDE TO PURCHASE AN ELECTRIC BIKE FROM US WITHIN 3 MONTHS OF HIRING ONE, WE WILL REFUND ONE DAY OF YOUR HIRE CHARGE. (conditions apply - please ask) ***
ALL OUR HIRE eBIKES ARE FULLY UK LEGAL - They provide assistance up to 25 km/h (15.5 mph) (You can travel at higher speeds under your own power.)
Hire Requirements:
You must be over the age of 18 to hire our electric bikes and any rider using the bikes must, by law, be over the age of 14.
Payment of hire charge must be made by debit or credit card.
Photo ID with home address (i.e. driving license) must be provided and will be retained as security.
SAFETY: Cycling can be a hazardous. Therefore, HELMETS & HIGH VISIBILITY JACKETS are included in the hire charge. We advise that both items are worn at all times, especially when on public highways. (IF YOU PREFER, YOU CAN BRING YOUR OWN HELMET & JACKET.) We can also provide a pannier bag, local maps, lock and basic tool kit if requested.

Cycling is undertaken at your own risk.
Always cycle within your ability, observing the marked routes.
Please be considerate to other users.
Never cycle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (prescribed or otherwise).
